SolarAid on Newsnight

Sorry this is a day late but I've only just found out about it on Facebook.....

....SolarAid were on last night's Newsnight.  Please do watch it again on iPlayer.  It was on BBC2 at 10:30pm on 25 February.

I'm busy today with the annual tax return but I can assure you our section on Newsnight is exciting :)

  1. The article on Newsnight was good. It was also on BBC Radio 4 yesterday.
I like the colour of the Solar Roller. I once had a car in the same colour.
Victor Koyier came over well and the business model is virtually 'self perpetuating'.
Good luck with the tax return. It is not one of my favourite jobs either.

  2. Thank you. I haven't actually seen or heard this broadcast as we can't access iPlayer here. If you can download it in some way I'd love to see/hear it.

Tax return is coming along. Deadline is Friday so running against the clock. The challenge is sorting out the filing sufficiently so I actually have robust data to fill it in. Things coming along; lots of labels are being used :)

  3. Are the labels on boxes yet?
Did you see the 'bean' has boxes already. It must be 'genetic'.

  4. Hi Kate, Thought I would pay you a visit on your blog to see what you were up to. As usual, something different. Your cottage, if you didn't know where it was, could be off road near a forest in England, however, the picture of the mini lake and the "road" gave it away. You seem to have embraced the life and culture out there already. As you can image not much happening at work (only joking) and to be honest have so much respect and, if honest, a little envious of what you are doing. Keep up the blog honey and take care. Hope the meal was good on Friday. Christine G

  5. Christine,

Thank you for your message. It is very nice here, especially my cottage. I am a very lucky lady. The 'lake' has got bigger over the weekend as we've had almost constant rain now for 2 days. I normally sleep quite heavily but the thundering of the rain on the roof and windows woke me up at 4am this morning. It seems to be easing a bit now but I have put on a coat and cardigan today as it's turned a bit nippy (not by Uk standards I'm sure but cold for here). It's weird to think I was getting sunburnt on Saturday and now have a jumper on - weird!

It's a quiet day in the office today as most people are out as today is sandwiched between two bank holidays and alot of people have made a long weekend of it. However, Karla my colleague, has made us lasagne and brownies for lunch so I'm not at all sad about being in the office with just the two of us!! It's very like John Lewis in the way food is central to work :)

Take care and speak soon. I may even pop into London to see you all in June/July when I'm back.
